MARITIME AIRPORTS WEATHER STUDIES
LPS AVIA was retained by a leading international Flight Training organization to prepare a risk analysis of aviation weather at 6 Maritime Airports.
A 10-year analysis of weather patterns, hourly ceilings and visibilities, as well as surface wind speed and direction, was assembled from various climatological record sources.
The operational reliability and availability of the 6 airports was assessed considering local weather, electronic landing aids, and airport infrastructure. The most suitable airport for an international commercial flying
training operation was identified and the client proceeded with related investment decisions
